Calabrian chilli cream is made with pleasantly spicy chillies, flavored with garlic, basil and cooked in extra virgin olive oil. The culture of consuming chilli pepper until recently was typical of the people of the south, in particular the greatest consumers of chilli pepper were the Calabrians. Today the consumption of chilli pepper is widespread throughout Italy.
